Troubleshooting a saw and the wire from coil to spark plug comes off in my hand. It’s a newish wire. I know cause I put it on bout a year ago when I rebuilt the saw. Never could get it to run so I put it aside for later. Don’t recall if I ever checked for spark then but when I checked today is when it came off. It’s now later. question is, since the wire, 7mm, is ever so slightly smaller than the coil hole there is no friction fit. What do I use to secure the wire while being able to replace the wire in the future, as needed

I normally use a bit of motoseal/dirko etc...just to help it hold

I think, if your talking coil to wire, stihl some screw in and you have to unscrew them when stripping down. As in the 200t, there are others that are/have an epoxy seal.. I,m guessing they are the same. Screw it in.
The wire to plug cap is spring thing with a spike that goes through the side of the ht wire. Bit of a pig to wiggle and fit

if your asking husky idk.

Asking Poulan. The spike doesn’t look like it has threads. May try the motoseal. Have considered epoxy but future removal could be an issue. Thanks guys

Plenty of them get sealed in with black or copper Permatex around here, if both the wire and the hole down in the coil is cleaned out well, brake cleaner, acetone or such the silicone will adhere well but will still be easy enough to remove in the future as it doesn`t harden up like epoxy does.
