I did stick a new needle bearing in just to make sure. Same amount of play. I am also interested in others opinions. I know my other saws don't seem to have that much play.I haven't fired it up yet. It just seems like it's a crazy amount of wobble for a oem part.
I think it was just a factory defect. I used the 260 it came off of quite a bit before switching to the adjustable pump and drum. The drum looks brand new and never seemed like it caused a problem.I'd guess the drum was dropped and hit on the edge of the spline. Could find the high spot and tap it lightly until it turns true
Not all 260's have the adjustable oiler. Only the Pro version has it. I believe the 026 Pro had an adjustable pump, also.The 260's had the adjustable oiler and the older 026's had the fixed oiler. Two different drums. The drum on top is for 260 adjustable oiler, the one on bottom is for 026 fixed oiler. View attachment 55340
