I think the 9102 is for a wrap handle artic or recue model which is alil taller but will work. There is 6 different models of that darn brake handle

Yeah Mike.

He's got .050 out of the band, so he's at 230+ comp already. He also has some pretty great numbers already for a stock crank saw.

My bet is that raising the intake will shift the torque curve up in the rpm range. The saw may cut better with an 8 over a 9 pin. I bet he gains 1000+ rpm when he raises the intake.

I think the transfer height is perfect for the full circle crank. He could raise his exhaust if he wanted to.

Then again, I could be very wrong in my prediction here.
Sounds like a good canidate for raising the intake up and clipping that piston for exhaust?

all in dur

the case is smaller with the 288 piston
So with your even smaller case, 123 transfers are likely perfect.

Higher if you don't raise the intake.

661 is really close in speed. but way more behaved. That saw of his is just a mean mother frenchie!!! Loud, aggressive...it's insane. Not sure how to describe it exactly. It's insane. I love it!
Is that the mrtronics saw or the carb 661?

carb'd might beat it. that would be interesting. but still 661 is way more behaved. It's bigger and heavier.

I'd rather have scott's with a wrap handle. More compact light weight and fun....FUN!
I wouldnt mind having one of the special cylinders to put on my 064!!! Lol!!

Does the velocity stack help?

It is hard to do a comparison because once you add a V stack, you need to ditch the stock filters and run a much better flowing K&N or Uni style pod filter.

On a chainsaw, I doubt the V Stack makes any real difference other than being able to support a VERY low restriction air filter.
I true V Stack will be length tuned to the motor and have no air filter....... their main advantage being clean smooth unrestricted air flow

I see the main advantage being a zero restriction filter that will run for days without needing to be looked at.

My 066 ran a 42" bar with a V Stack and K&N like it ran a 30" with a HD2.
I could dig the spikes in and push

It ran a 25" 404 bar with an 8 pin and full chisel like it wasn't there. That chain was spinning so fast in hardwood, it was skipping over the timber and needed to be pushed in, and when I did it fell through kicking noodles out 15 feet away.

I would not run like that with the HD2

I wonder how it would go with a circle crank?

Is J out of bed yet?

Intake is likely staying where it is,the saw has tourqe. Transfers are gonna come up a couple degrees when I port it today.

I'll find out next week if I can beat it with a 661,I think it will be hard to do.

I sure am enjoying this thread. I am very anxious to see where this saw goes in performance. Keep it up!
