I ran out of room for wall mounts . So , I bought a 2’ x 8’ suspension rack .

I really like the overhead storage concept.

There are about 125 bars hanging on this rack I built along with a bunch of chain. I probably have another 75+ bars in a couple of tubs.

These boxes are all loops or rolls of chain.

Here’s what I do for now. Projects are stored under the bench. I already need more room for runners now though

I use a filing cabinet with the front doors removed.
Ran some ground down bolts through to hang bars and chains on.

This concept is one that I keep going back to. I have always kept bars on my saws, so if I need to get somewhere right away, I don't have to mess with putting a bar on and I can just grab a saw and go. In reality, it doesn't take that much time and isn't the end of the world to store power heads without bars and chains on them. That would save the most space, which is my goal.
