I'm all excited.
Tomorrow I head off to a GTG with fellow chainsaw nuts.
Will only be a dozen or so of us but there will be plenty of serious saw action.
And... this is the best bit... I get to cut pine for the first time ever.
We have timber on the ground, trees to fell and destroy, god knows how many hundred saws will turn up knowing these blokes and a massive bonfire to stand around afterwards drinking beers and telling lies.
One of the boys is bringing his Dolmar rotary saw among other cool stuff that he is keeping as a surprise.
We have borrowed propper race stands to set up logs for some racing fun and ported/stock model comparisons.
I will be taking lots of photo's and video's so I can share how we do it in Australia.
I'm taking all my saws:
Ported 024 wearing 13" 325 7 tooth
Ported 026 wearing 16" 325 8 tooth
Ported 044 wearing 3/8 20" 8 tooth
Ported 064 wearing 3/8 25" 8 tooth
Ported 084 wearing 404 25" 8 tooth
Ported 084 wearing 404 36" 7 tooth
Stock 090 wearing 404 36" hardnose and 7 tooth
Ported 181 Husky wearing 3/8 25" 7 tooth
58cc china saw, rough ported and taking for some fun.
I will start the updates tomorrow to show the journey
stay tuned
