Has anyone tried one of these yet? The chain storage concept is cool. Only made for up to 20" chains at the moment but it states they are working on longer storage units.

Yes I agree David. Supposedly the company is working on larger lockers as we speak. Decent concept. They are pricey though.

Looks interesting, but too space consuming.

I am using Stihl chain storage boxes.
One box will hold two 72DL, I am uncertain whether two 84DL would fit.
The boxes are stackable and semi transparent.
The boxes are about 4$ a piece.

I use nails too for my garage.
I think these are more for traveling Jake. Like tree companies and stuff. I read up. Some buy 2 colors. One for sharpened chains and one for used chains that need to be sharpened.
If they were half price I'd buy them.

I think I understand the concept. I believe I do. Just seems like an overthought kinda deal for me. For traveling I still carry a book bag. Spare loops. Tools. One can only use so many chains in a single cutting session. Honestly I personally rarely take a chain off. Just sharpen on the bar. Saw gets dull switch out saws. The one long bar I use I’ll take the time to touch up in the field.

that said I still have a spare with me. Prolly great for someone just seems a bit over the top I guess

I just store chains in boxes. I also touch up my chains in the field. I bring spare chains just in case. I usually keep 3 or 4 extra chains with me.
We'll see what happens with these chain lockers.

I really liked the concept when I saw it a couple months ago. Joe at Ohio wood burner gives a nice overview of the product in the video above. I have to agree with others though a little too pricey for my taste but hey I’m weird and cheap and just store my chains in old beef jerky bags.A90FCC96-7DE4-408A-AB05-8CAF78B528B3.jpeg

There’s actually 2 in that pic. There’s another one on the shelf but not pictured.
I meant the guy in the video.

Didn't even pay attention to the saws in the picture. Once I read EXL everything else blurred, now I feel bad for not noticing!
You have good taste in chainsaws and chains, twice the credit!

I use clear packaging tape on the original boxes and store the chains in them so I know what they are at a glance. Lol
