Kubota orange looks good but is not perfect match . If it is an older saw I would leave it original! Most buyers want it this way IMO

This was a "custom" built 066 I did for a buddy of mine. It has a few aftermarket parts on it including the plastics. He wanted the saw built as cheap as possible. The plastics are farmertec brand. Each piece was a different shade of orange. So we decided to paint them. image.jpgimage.jpg

Is is Ford white or grey? I bought the Ford grey, but it is a little "too" grey to match the Stihl colors

Anyone tried Plasti dip paint ?
I have only used it on hand tools (wrenches, pliers) sounds interesting. You have a nice avatar.

I have been looking at my 066 planing the rebuild in my head and would like to make it looks good, not just run good.

I have custom built a couple rifles recently and I had the metal action Cerakoted. Its a spray on, baked on ceramic coating that is as tough as it gets.
I recon it would be perfect for the alloy case and sprocket cover.

For the plastic covers, I have been considered Hydracoating.

Google it....... Very cool!

Now the decisions on what colors and pastern to go with

Or perhaps I will just do it all with Cerakote

I like the idea of blank/orange as opposed to the stock white/orange

Its not a saw but I'm not too sure how many chainsaw's have been cerakoted

That saw looks awesome! I had thought about doing the same thing to an 036 but haven't been able to picture it in my head. That looks better than I thought it would!

That saw turned out nice. I'm not sure that I will paint another one quite like that. Maybe check this thread out. http://opeforum.com/posts/28042/
