I blindly bought on off Ebay with missing parts. No parts available from Harbor Freight either. Has anyone ever interchanged the thrust and spinner dies from another manufacturer (Stihl/Oregon/etc) and had them fit/work? I have found other postings on this site about this tool, but not on this situation.

The HF combined spinner / breaker models I have seen look like a lot of others sold on Temu, Amazon, etc. Slim chance, but possible, you will find parts there?

Note that that there have also been changes to the STIHL, Oregon, etc., punches and anvils through the years.

Best bet would be to accurately measure the sizes needed (micrometer). Is it still sold in HF stores? Maybe someone with the ssme tool can try to measure theirs, if you are specific about which parts (parts diagrams)?

If it is the combo chain spinner breaker HF had them on close out a year or two back for like $30.

They look pretty close to what I have (Stihl), I am assuming you don't have those to measure. Might be worth spending a few bucks more to try some:
$8.00

$8.00

Free shipping on both.

Or, it may be worth it to put it in the ‘Free’ pile, and start over.

By the time you spend $? on parts that may not fit.

A lot of guys don’t realize that the punches are brittle, and occasionally break, needing replacement.

A brand that is supported, with replacement parts, is an important consideration.

I had coworkers that would really wrench down when punching out rivets and would destroy those punches, most of the time the link slipped and they ended up hitting the harder metal. Here, slow, steady and right in the middle of the rivet is the way to go, not only to save the punch but also to keep from rolling the chain and wedging it in the holder.
