Olive drab green for the military. I think they were grey for civilian use.Great finds. You will love running the Merc. What is the original color of the Merc?
It has the Military style no muffler along with the plate instead of the air filter on
top of the motor.
Larry Stiener has one of those Mercurys with a scratcher chain and about 6 foot of bar .He hit something with it and had a time figuring exactly how to refile it .I don't know if looking at the chain on Mike Acres site if it could be figured out or not .

Thanks! I've been purchasing and restoring saws, but stopped in September when I moved. The CAD is kicking in again though....bad thing to. hahaCool saws TJ, good to see you posting again man.
