IIRC, there were crank failures using a 372 crank and some case failures if swapping to a larger crank. I think there are a few threads over on AS about it.

I think he is also using Farmertec cases.. That should be interesting to see how long those last.

I think he is also using Farmertec cases.. That should be interesting to see how long those last.

Is he changing out the crank bearings? Those are the weak link in Farmertec cases of all flavors.

not sure. I really wasn't paying to much attention to it. I know he's using Farmertec tank and cases. The crank is a used OEM with a 390 cylinder bored to a 58mm I think??? I think the piston is a stihl 661, but I could be wrong.

The 372 bottom end can't even handle slinging an x-torq piston around. IMO, if a good ported XP oe top end isn't enough, then a bigger saw should be considered.

It's been year's since I seen him post anything.

He's been out of the game for quite a few years. Someone told me he's running heavy equipment now but I didn't verify that.
