With Stihls it’s hard to use anything but OEM.
But, ya can’t always do that. It’s nice to have some quality bulk fuel line on hand
With most stihls in a pinch i use fs90 or echo barbs
And run bulk echo line through them
Saves big dollar's usually.
Because stihl is stihl and the pricing for example a 30 + year old nos rotten 031 fuel line's is crazy.

Rubber definitely. Echo stuff seems pretty good just don’t have any long term experience with it. Tygon seems to have too much “memory “. After a short while it doesn’t grip the barb it’s on. Or if it runs thru a fuel tank IE Husky or a weed eater tank it WILL conform to the hole and leak. My .02

When you find what you like buy a little roll of it in the two main sizes. I think its 1/4" & 3/16" for smaller saws/ope. 2 rolls of starter cord 3.5mm & 4.5mm, & two rolls of fuel line has kept me in the game for all my saws & stuff.

I’ve been using Stens Tru Blue lately. Looks kind of like Tygon, but blue in color. It’s a bit stiff, and hard to get on barbs. Supposed to be 100% ethanol proof, but haven’t had any on a saw long enough to see how it holds up.

Today I had a BT150 blower on my bench. Opened a new OEM fuel line kit that has the half dollar sized gromet, fuel lines were already installed. Synthetic Rubber line (like Echo fuel line) for the pick up side was nice and tight. Tygon return line had already conformed to the opening.

I bought some black rubber fuel line from HLSupply, but my gas is E-free. We’ll see how it holds up.

How many old saws, blowers or trimmers have you gone to replace the fuel/primer/impulse lines and they were rock hard stiff or just crumble in your fingers. I think the good new stuff is better than the older types.

Polyurethane any better than vinyl?

Possibly, depends on the type of usage I suppose, temperature range etc. I'm not too smart on all the different materials, but I can eventually figure out that I'd been had. I'll post a picture of what I'm talking about.
