I don't remember ever being without a knife since 4th grade just an everyday thing around here. until i broke my social security card and went to the main building in Charleston wv for a new one the guard was cool when the wand went off though so he let me walk two blocks with my kershaw to my truck and came back he shook my hand and said he grew up in the country and didn't want to see me get in any trouble i thanked him for that.

Regular flash light--Maglight,expensive but work well . Head light I have three, think they are Eveready .Have a stream lite at work, doubles A's . Also a stylus which takes AAAA batterys .That one will fit right inside a spark plug hole on a chainsaw engine making determining port openings very easy .
The stylus is much more handy than a borescope. That is kind of a pain in the buttocks plugging in the power source and focusing before you can see anything .

I had to debate last night to throw my favorite Kershaw in the trash:(

We went to a concert and ended up parking about a mile away from the arena. I didn't think anything of it.
The last time I was at this arena was about 5 years ago and there was only bag checks.

Well, since then they put in metal detectors...... We got to security 15 minuets before the show started.

So I ended up running a mile back to the car and ran a mile back to the arena. I got in my seat with about two minuets to spare and I was able to save my trusty knife.
I had this same thing happen at the airport ,had to either toss it in the trash or run back to the truck in the parking garage ,i went back to the truck also .I was not even getting on the plane ,just there to drop oldest son off on his way to bootcamp .

Streamlight strion is what I use. A little pricey for a small flashlight but worth every penny. Small enough that I keep mine in my pocket at all times at work. Bright as hell, Rechargeable li-ion battery, tough as hell, made in USA and lifetime guarantee from a company that's not going anywhere. Guy I work with ran his Streamlight over and pancaked it, he sent it back they sent him a new light except for the end cap( which was the only thing on the light that was still good.)

Best flashlight? The one that turns on when it's dark, they sure have come a long way. Lots of nice choices these days.
One day,I walked straight the street.Suddenly, the street lamps were all broken.I'm afraid, but I remember there was a led flashlight B60 in my bag,and I can go home without darkness.

I just got a Black Diamond Spot this camping season and really like it. The single button is pretty clumsy as it has 3 different bulbs that switch with long clicks or double clicks. That said it is nice to have a red bulb (for looking bad a, or just keeping your night vision) and a flood light for general use where you don't need a lot of power but the extra area is very useful. Again the biggest downside is the single button control, so if you have trouble with digital watches and other sorts of gadgets that use long and or double taps, steer clear, otherwise it's a great versatile little light.

I have an A10 Fenix that has been a good tool, but I've carried this Maratac AAA for 5 yrs. It is used more than my trusty Vic Explorer shown with it for size reference. I use the Sanyo rechargeable AAA's in it. About $30.
