There are some prett Darn good deals on eBay but sometimes you have to scroll through the offerings for a while. Look for free ship deals as that’s what usually kills things.

Not sure if Rural King cuts lengths, John Deere dealerships might too. We have a North 40 here in the Wyoming, Montana, Idaho area that custom makes loops and depending on the size, you can save anywhere from $5.00 - $15.00 compared to the exact same stuff already made up in the box.

Some of my contacts charge 30 to 35 per drive link.
@Bill G curious on your rate for 3/8 .050 loops. I didn't know you were making up loops. I'll keep that in mind.

Anyone who goes through a lot of chains in a season should buy a breaker and spinner and then, look for deals on rolls of chain.
I pay, on average, $350/ roll for Stihl chain, shipped. That’s half of retail in the box for chains…under .25/link.
I sell chains locally to the guys I do saw work for when I have extra and mark them up a few bucks. Still well under what they would normally pay.
Aftermarket chain by the roll is a lot cheaper than that…just have to search and find the best deals.
100’ roll is 1640 links. Buy a roll for $400 and you make chains for .25/link.
28” chains for $23. Find a $200 roll and….😁

Get the tools, buy rolls. Make your own chains and sell some locally to cover all the costs over time.

Duke's right now...$261/roll
