These are on the end of the carb where the air filter bracket goes.

Look for a raised letter in the carb casting, H & L. Other than that, IDK.

That is an odd duck. You could always pull one and insert, say a WD40(or similar such thing) stem/straw and give it a shot and see just where it comes out. If in the middle that's the Hi, if by the throttle plate, that's the Lo.

I think I got it figured out last one is idle and right one run. Thank you for the help. can't believe how easy the saw starts and runs. It does not get into very high RPMs but I expect that from a old saw like this.

Thanks for the help guys. I just realized people had responded to my question but I was to slow on the eBay listing and missed out on it. But it n doing some more research it looks like there’s a guy on eBay that sells coils that look like they’ll work. This is what I’m thinking about.

I’ve been lookin for a rotor that works with one of these magneto’s. The number on the back of the rotor I need is 10-84341. I’ve been able to find several different rotors for these magneto’s since they were used in various applications back in the day. But I’ve only found one rotor that had the above part number on it. I can’t remember if the rotor came from a Mall or Mercury or Diston saw. It may have even been another brand. But I really hope someone can help point me in the right direction. It’ll be put to great use!! I really like this thread it was great help to me.

Something like this mag coil you have to think outside of the box .It's not like you can boogie on down to your Ace hardware store and buy one . Outboard boat motors used a similar type of set up as did some Lauson lawn mower engines at one time a long time ago .FWIW I was given a Mall model 12 which is a little fellow,77 cc I think .It's not stuck and I don't think it has fire .Weather I ever get it running is yet to be seen .Very low priority on this old boat anchor .However I do own a model M Bridgeport milling machine with a brass tag saying Mall Tools Chicago .How it ever got to Ohio I have not a clue .It does work very well BTW .Chainsaws are not the only items I restore .
