LOL, Gotta keep you guessing...

No, really I bought both of the saws I listed from other parties. Got the 6100 from Fordf150 and the 261 from the dude that used to have the dyno over on AS, cannot recall his name at the moment, old age ya know.:BangHead::BangHead:

Yeah.....I do know. :(

I still feel damn good most of the time......now where are my glasses?

I was

Lovely. And yours?

I like hearing that. :)

Heyyyy, im one of those people who doesnt post much!!! Im more active with the chainsaw forums in the winter months anyways, but even then I dont post much. I also go on other forums like lawnsite, tractorbynet and a few motocross ones as well.

Randy, what if you had a rule where you need to have 20 posts or more, in order to sell or even buy from the classified?

Usually when i look at any saw add's i always look at how long the person has been a member and how many posts they've made. We all know honesty is the key when trying sell amongst our selves.

I've done business with more than a few guys here that have a profile, but never make a single post.....so I'm not sure that would work either.

I have the odd saw forsale and parts. Used to shipping internationally. A simple positive / negative feedback system doesn't cut the mustard here.
_
Good - hey I got m y saw, have cut 1000 cords with it this week. Wicked!

Bad - shagged piston, can't cut a match stick in half with it.

Now there needs to be a "stuff happens" option.

Seized by customs, destroyed by ups, no insurance, under valued, alien saw abduction etc

Deals are both seller and buyers responsibilities. Not just sellers.

Oh and @ajschainsaws is a great trader :)

do repeat deals with same members- no worries. Ive sold and bought a lifetime worth of saws (primarily 2010-2014) tried everything out there that sparked my interest. Never had a bad deal- selling or buying. I look at post count and content of the member and make a judgement call based upon how they act, how they treat others in the other forums, etc. If I don't know you and your selling- I pass. If your only contribution to the site, is posting stuff for sale in the classifieds- I pass. I don't go by what is being sold only, but who is selling it as well. A lot of the listings, get weeded out quickly for me bc I buy based upon condition. I buy premium saws (prefer nos) and only sell premium saws.

We are doing good. The wife is taking vacation this week before her busy time at work which means I'll be a bachelor for a couple moths as she leaves the house shortly after I do and normally won't get home till between 6-8 pm at night.

Honestly I think most of it boils down to using some sense and being careful. Trust your gut instincts and don't let a too good to be true deal get in the way of that. I had a guy send me a message this week about some saw parts based on an old wanted ad here. He was a new member with zero posts and only wanted to talk via email not on the messenger here. That's a big red flag for me, maybe he has a truckload of 272 parts at scrap prices and is a great guy. I'm not gonna find out, it just didn't feel right to me.

As far as being one of those guys that has low post count that is me on Another Site. I've been a member there for 2 years but I know I have less than 100 posts and those were probably in the first few months. However is somebody is leary of dealing with me it's not hard to prove who I am.

I had a guy with no posts pm me about the 288 I was looking for. He wants to send me pics via email which by itself is not unheard of but when he emailed me he said "that you want to purchase." That to me was a little weird because most people that I know say buy, not purchase. I don't think I'm going down that road....

So sending me your saw to unlock you 3 trillion dollars of Nigerian wealth ain't gonna work? The one time I purchased saw parts on AS I called the guy before cash was even mentioned and have him send me pics from his phone granted it was only a parts saw.

I think we should just eliminate people from NY...
and Canada too. they are just too much trouble. everything is good until the New Yawkahs show up...then the whole neighborhood goes to pot...and dem Canadanians.....well they have funny sounding accents....that makes them shifty...

you should trust only people from NJ.....

dats my 2cents and im going back to my hole under my rock.

The Ban Hammer has been dropped a few times in the last week on some scam artists doing exactly what has been described above. Thanks to the diligent membership here, the offenders were reported, and removed from the site population.
