Used the permatex motoseal on few things now and I like it. Doesn’t get hard stays flexible and cures in 20 min. Easy to get to permatex dealers everywhere.

I suppose you could use about anything except bath tub caulk .Permatex number 2 is good .Red Loctite you'd never get off once it sets ,number 1 Permatex takes a hammer blow .If you want to get fancy Loctite 5900 is the standard world wide for automotive sealant ,kind of costly .---I use a gasket myself ----
