I have just acquired a 10 pin, .325, and 10 pin, .375 rim sprockets.

What type of bar would one desire??

Need a wide tail and large sprocket nose I assume??

Looking for something in the 16-20" range.

Stihl mount, so I can use on husky too.

I have a large mount 20" husky cannon in .325 pitch, but it had a narrow nose, which I think is bad at high chain speed.

By the way, this is all definite Dave's fault!!!!

Bob your bar, redrill your tensioner holes in the bar, and your oiler hole. I run a 10 pin 3/8 like this

Just checked out the other thread, I think I have a good idea what to do now

As far as the tip I'm assuming wider is better

You probably won't need to modify your bar with the .325 sprocket. You'll just need to add a link to the chain.
I think the .325 10 pin is the same size as a 3/8 9 pin so all modifications actually would be necessary.

Any opinions on the bar nose size???

Ok to run a super mini tip??

Seems a wider nose would give a better transition

I haven't seen guys with oversize sprockets use mini tips.
you need a tail that is wider and I think you would have a hard time finding a fat tail small tip bar
I guess in theory it like a bicycle with a big powerhead gear and a small working end gear it should spin the tip very fast but you don't just cut with the tip on a chainsaw
I think it would be more likely to throw a chain on a narrow tip
all just my thoughts which aren't facts by any means
