A more permanent non-case split repair would be Red Kote.

I would spend the time and clean the saw and at a minimum tighten all the case bolts I had a Stihl 064 do that to me and that was all I had to do

Starting to think the oil might be migrating. Prolly XS rpms eh @huskihl ? I was running straight lube oil, no tack. Gonna try some tacky oils, maybe open oil hole in bar?

Funny, I dragged out my whorange one to slash a few trees over at my brother's and there was no spooge. I was running used tractor diff fluid as bar oil since I'm cheap. I recall a different saw puking oil all over the cover, but I never cared or bothered to check why.
