I gave up on liquid ballast simpley because I got tired of repairing rusted out tire rims .Now keep in mind I own basically antique machinery so it might take 40-50 years to rust out a rim .For repairs I've often used a second junk rim to cut out parts for repairs .When I'm done you have to look real closely to even find the weld seams .Tractor tires are not like the tires of a quarter mile dragster,they don't have to be perfect just functional .

well, when i was a kid, we used to have to thaw vacuum milking pipes for the cows, the road froze over, blah blah, now I just bought a grapevine. its different.

My chum has had a contract with local council to shift snow, he went out for a couple of days one year, but no need to use antifreeze in tyres. yep we all stick it in ourengines, but not really needed nowadays its mainly warm...UK
