image.jpeg image.jpeg I usually wear chaps when saw wood but today i was just clearing out undergrowth on a old loggin road behind my house. Figured would be simple enough to just get it done and move on to somthing else. Got in a hurry and paid the small price for it. Wasnt that bad a cut and thank The Lord it wasn't any worse. Finished clearing the trail and got my brother to come by to stitch it up if possible. After he got digging around in it we started pulling trash and pieces of blue jean material out. I guess i will be visiting the medical center today to make sure it's cleaned out good and def will not leave my chaps behind again. Oh and btw, i still love my 262.

Yowser!! I've started grabbing mine more often, it's so easy to just think you just doing a little bit you'll be fine, but once again it shows it's just not worth it!
I'm glad it wasn't worse.

Yeah I'm glad it wasnt any worse. I work in a Trauma hospital so I see somethibg like that only worse a couple of times a year. The funny thing is I don't wear em all the time even with the reminder because I'm like you, its only clearing brush, in a hurry, or just plain lazy. Got to change my mindset. Thanks for posting, I needed that!

Thanks for sharing. Glad you are just a little scratched up its a shot across your bow.

It's probably more common than we know people won't share.

Statically highest likelihood is just above the left knee. It makes sense to protect it.

We spend 100bucks on a lightweight bar but can't spend that same money to protect our lives.

I'm guilty got vids of sawing with shorts and flip flops.

Another suggestion is make sure you are wearing a belt for a tourniquet incase you hit an artery.

I have a pair of labonvilles got about 3 years ago.Never wore them but this year been strapping them on.They stay in the back seat of the truck so I don't forget them.Started wearing them to keep the wet snow off me but now its like a habit to strap them on before I cut.

I really need to invest in some chaps. I have a pair of jeans with a hole just like that, but it missed any skin. Ouch!

Once you get bite you'll buy a pair

Once I was bite three years back I went out and bought a pair

I think it hurt worst when then cleaned it out in the ER than when I cut myself
