I have a 32 inch Sears Craftsman Drift breaker that has steel wheels on it from the factory. Only snow blower I have seen with wheels.
Steel snow thrower front wheels have been around for decades, but somehow the MFG's want you to scrape up the driveway, wear out rubbing skids, and scramble back to the dealer to buy another pair. The steel wheels outlast the scraping skids at least three to one -- less friction.

I wish you all were about 13 years earlier but thats okay. These skids wore off about 1970. It is a 1965 Lawn Boy that I use, but your plan with the wheels will work for me. I threw a lot of stones. DSCF2078.JPG DSCF2079.JPG Thanks men.
