i had a 7.3 non turbo once in my life good power and good on fuel and rock solid reliable it's life was ended in a interstate wreck. miss the truck and engine.

That's what I have now, agree on everything except for the fuel comment, mine only gets about eight mpg.

The 7.3 was rock solid! On a cold morning they would knock, beat, bang, smoke then run all day!

My neighbor has a 6.0 and after he got it fixed it is a great truck. Too bad you have to spend nearly $8K to get them there though. :(

Joe
Like you said the 6.0 is awsome after you spend a ton on them.

Never done a 60 Series but I imagine it can't be that bad. All the Detroit's I have ever messed with have been the old two stroke screamin demons.

Look back on the last page at the video I linked for reference (note: I am NOT one of the guys in the video, the first thing you do with a Detroit that hass been stood up a while is free the rack up!)

That's unfortunate for the ford lovers
The 6.0 has a double had full of orings in them any one goes bad your down. Head studs are a must! High pressure oil pump will be next! The list just keep going. But they are some running sobs when done right! I'll keep my cummins!

yep but my 7.3 didn't have a injector problem like the duramax LB7
mine didn't use any oil or leak anything but it smoked a little when you went over 12,000 lbs on the load.
