Anyone converted an 026 to run picco super?

I've got a spare 026 on the shelf,and I'm wondering what it would be like running the Picco super chain on a 16 inch bar.
I'm not sure if this conversion is possible,due to bar mount size,but if anyone has some pointers or experience with this,please chime in.

I run a picco bar and chain on my ms260. Stihl Canada sells a kit. The kit comes with a 16" bar, 3 picco PS chains and a 7 pin sprocket.

That full chisel picco will make a 50cc or less saw feel like superman. That is all I run 50cc and under.

These cuts weren't timed but I think you can get a pretty good idea of the difference. I'm not sure if the first saw is ported. It's running .325. The second saw is ported and is running picco

You can buy the kit here too as mentioned...its about $100 & decent value for a dealer here considering what it would cost seperately in total. Me, I just pull the bar sprocket of a standard 3/8 bar & grind it down with a chain grinder to match the profile of a picco nose sprocket. But on my ported ms261 or stock 550xp I find they want more chain in the hardwood I cut, but if I was on the other side of the globe I would see the situation differently I'm sure. What works well here does not neccessarliy work well in the U.S & vice versa. But give it a go....I did.

When I bought my kit it was $109 CDN. After all the taxes. I paid $125CDN out the door. Well worth it IMO.
I believe cannon also sells a picco bar that fits the 026 but IIRC it's only available in 18". You would still have to get chains and a sprocket.

my 241cm is an angry termite with PS chain on it,and gets more of a workout than any of my bigger saws,so i cant wait to rig up the 026

It would be interesting to see some 346, 550 and MS261 vids with 3/8", .325" and Picco. I think for the cutting I'm doing a shade less speed and a tougher working corner is where it's at, but I'm always down for scientific experimentation (not at my expense)... I ain't got the $$$ to piss away on it.

You can run picco on a regular 3/8 pitch bar tip but you usually need to take a file to each side of the sprocket teeth just enough to fit between the straps and settle for a smooth ride. Some bar tips with enough wear are already thin enough.

I have a picco setup on my 026. The saw is bone stock. I have ran it with the 7t and 8t sprockets. It could use a tad more power with the 8t. My 261 is nasty with the picco b/c and 8t sprocket.

I think @Definitive Dave tested his ms260 with both the 7 and 8 tooth sprockets. IIRC he found the 7 tooth faster
