Ran shindaiwa/red armor for 9 year's
The price stopped me from running it
It went more than double stupidly.
No issue's ever otherwise in many ported saws.
Low odor and excellent performance
At 40/1
Went to schaeffer's it's working great for me.
@Egg Shooter is your oil guy he has more info

I've never ran premix in my life
Local stihl dealer showed me a saw ran only on premix that fried
It had 0 oil in the gas.
It wasn't stihl brand I don't know who made it.

Been running VP premix for quite some time. No events and no complaints.
Redbull has a real analysis of these premixes on Youtube. They take the top ends
off afterward and look at the piston/cylinders. Pretty interesting. Turns out Stihl premix
faired pretty bad.

Local Echo dealer poo-pooing it, I have used with no probs. Any other takers on this subject?
It protects excellent. Was clean burning in my stuff. Some people say it drools out the muff on M-tronic / Auto tune saws. I don't have those. It stupid expensive if that matters. Its a bit finicky to tune compared to many other oils. Takes the crisp edge off the throttle response compared to many others. Ive seen a couple hundred less Rpm with it compared to other oils in the exact same equipment. I recommend it to the non enthusiast homeowner type because of how well it protects and it's cleanliness. Most people probably won't notice its slight performance difference. Many, myself included, believe the really thick oils hamper power to an extent especially in small cc applications. And as an FYI, all my ope is 41cc or smaller. Larger engines may not be effected by the oil performance wise.

Most likely because the Ultra oil in it is garbage

I assure you are talking about the pre mixed fuel and oil in qts or gallons? I only have a little experience with pre mixed fuels from trufuel motomix and vp. I've never bought pre mixed fuels as I dobt run the ratios they sell and don't trust it not to be tampered with. I only buy from sealed packages as the cans have no tamper caps. Seen too many returned cans with water or pump gas in them to ever buy from a open pack.

I use it when I now I won't be running the equipment again soon or give it to others if they're borrowing my stuff. I like it well enough but I run red armor mix too.

A Dolmar ps6100 showing some drool in the exhaust port. It has a regular carb. My own mix of red armor with
E-free 91 0ctane 40:1. It wiped up easily.

Well on the subject of just the oil, I been using echo red armor religiously for about 2 years, well over a couple hundred gallons of gas worth of mix. I found it to be awesome. Just recently I've had to buckle down and cut cost here and there to keep the living people And critters feed. So I just switched to husky xp+. An interesting note is that I been having carb issues with my hda199 in a 357xp. Throttle sticking, which I'm pretty tits the accel pump piston binding. So far I've ran one tank in the saw with xp+ oil and no issues yet knock on wood.

I especially love this blend if you have a piece of equip that's been sitting for a while. Run a tankful or two of Red Armor thru it, and Consider it to be tuned up. And winteriezed. Just leave this stuff in all winter and forget about it.

I have gone through about a half gallon of it at 40:1. I like it. Torn down a couple saws to see what they look like. Very little carbon buildup. Don't really notice the smell.

I get some Red Armor "drool" in regular carbs as well. Shindaiwa T231 trimmer is the worst, but hey it is rust proofed. Everything starts and runs so well for many years, so I haven't messed with the carbs or other oils. Who knows....

I should add the muffler was dry and the saw hasn’t been run hard in awhile. To “echo” what was stated in an earlier post it is getting expensive and I am prepared to start using Schaefer’s.
