I used to play A LOT. Got rid of all my electric stuff and now I just grab an acoustic when the mood hits me. Mainly a relaxation thing now days. My oldest son is playing now and he's got more natural talent in his pinky than I do in my whole body. Pretty neat to see and hear:)

My Daughter is showing a lot of interest in my guitars, my Son is showing some. We'll see. I have no doubt that I'll be buying her a junior sized acoustic starter soon. I figure if you can play acoustic, you can play an electric as well. The other way around isn't often the case.

Not a musician and I don't own a guitar [yet], but I do consider myself somewhat of a junkie. I love bass guitar. Huge fan of a well crafted ax. Les Claypool is my favorite artist, ever gave him a listen?

And right now I can't stop listening to Remco:

Give his channel a try.
Colonel Claypools Bucket of Bernies brains is so awesum.

He's a hardcore steelheader too.
Just like me...

The Tak and Les Paul would be nice. I'd still like to have a nice Telly, a good 12 string, a Breedlove jumbo and a Martin D-28...

I must like it I've had it for over 20 years.[emoji3] It was my first guitar I originally used light strings while I was learning but I went to mediums later and it really sounds good.

I generally use medium Martins on my Ovation half body elec/accoustic and Either Martin or D'Addario heavies on my Alvarez acoustic. The medium and light definitely reward a light and deliberate touch, but the heavies ring out amazingly on my Alvarez. It almost has a Martin sound with a more Gretsch or Taylor style action. For a relatively inexpensive guitar it has impressive intonation.

Haven't contributed for a while, here is another recent fretless bass conversion I did. Customer wanted no lines, so filling with epoxy or plastic binding was out. I found some rosewood similar color to the fretboard and cut some thin strips. Thickness sanded them down to a useable thickness. Milled out the old fret slots to clean them up and glued in the strips with horse hide glue. I guess word has got out around town that I do these conversions. I have another coming next week.

I have a friend in KC who's a bassist in a metal band who might like your services...
