I had been carrying a Glock 26 Gen 4 in a Crossbreed hybrid that I really liked, but when I move around the exposed part of the grip rubs me raw - no good I am tender bellied diabetic, took almost a month to heal :(

I have looked at a billion vendors online and don't see what I am looking for any model at all.
I am also likely switching to a Glock 43, its smaller and lighter and will be a lot more useful if I actually carry it :)

If anyone is willing to build me a holster just let me know or if you know of a good custom builder I am open to suggestions

I get my custom holsters made by the local biker custom leather guy. He likes guns and it's a change of pace for him. Off riding season also works out. SOME of those Amish harness makers will surprise you also.

I use to carry a 26, switched to the 36 (slimline in 45) at christmas. The slimline is worth every penny.

I got a SOB holster from http://www.kramerleather.com for my 17 RTF2 for the reason you're having. But on all my other glocks I use a "clipdraw" (found on Amazon) and love it where it lets the gun ride a little lower.

Dave,

Have you checked us out? We are the largest public safety supplier in the country. We now own Roy Tailors Uniforms that has a location in Columbus. I have not been to that store but they may have something in stock.

Genius: I will send him an e-mail, in a perfect world somebody will have exactly what I want in stock in a felt lined, satin over-lined version with air conditioning for my entire lower torso :)

Ross of the full complement of fingers: I have a bunch of motorcycle chops nearby and a badass local auto upholstery shop, something to look into

CT: I give up what is an SOB holster I looked at the link and didn't see SOB, I try not to read to deep into stuff like this or I will end up owning as many firearms as I have saws and I already have 4 or 5 ridiculous hoards of things I don't need :)

Gary: I will give them a look, sent a Pm as well

I am curious as to why a IWB Dave? Especially with such a small gun.

I have a Super Tuk for my 1911 and G23, I just haven't been to fond of them.

Plain Jane Fobus paddle holster for me. They are comfy, easy to conceal, hold up well and are cheap. Just wearing a T shirt I have no problems concealing a 23.

I am a t-shirt guy, but my real job customers are mostly well to do homeowners of a wide variety of political, racial and religious backgrounds. I meet with most of them a couple of times a year and climb around their landscapes, show them gardening tips in close proximity etc. I would hate to "startle" somebody with my firearm and ruin a business relationship. I realize that is a teensy tiny likelihood but I would rather not chance it.
Plus I am unevenly-hipped and the extra bulge on my right hip makes my sexy figure more uniform :)

SOB: small of back.
Only way I could carry a full sized before I got a compact.
The guy does good work, cost is up there but he will do anything you ask for and usually have it to you in a week.

@Definitive Dave So you want something just like the one you pictured but more material above the grip ? Find a source for the belt clips and I could hook you up pretty easily.

The belt clips screw right off.

Those are some nice holsters you made. Do you only work with leather or do you mold kydex too?

Comp-tac, M-tac user. I went back to my G-19 after trying the G-26, the little bugger was always jamming me with the edges of the butt/magazine. I wear an old school A-shirt and that has eliminated other problems. ( I carry an animus pump on my off side, I understand the slow healing )

Thanks, I messed with Kydex a long time ago, it's quick and easy but feels cheap to me. I more of a leather guy, I actually enjoy hand stitching as long as I don't have to do a bunch of it. Lol

I do agree, it's hard to get a kydex holster to feel right. The only one that I like and use daily is a paddle holster from Fobus.

A good quality leather holster is truly a work of art. To date my favorite are from Charles Byrd from Texas Leathercraft.

The guy who wrote this review on this holster is a good friend of mine and he ended up giving it to me. It is one of the fastest holsters for hip carry that I have ever used.

I found something online and it is headed my way now, I am cautiously optimistic and will report back.
I like the idea of a nice custom job but am too impatient.
