Embarrassed to say I got fooled on this 562XPG the first time around, but sometimes it's the little things that we overlook that bite us in the butt. Saw wouldn't run and it wouldn't prime. Carb not priming usually means the carb is junk, so I replaced it. Ran fine.................but the problem returned. Turns out the issue was a loose fit on the little S shaped primer line, where it attaches to the carb. Sucking air instead of sucking fuel. Probably some ethanol effect on the line, or maybe just not so good a line to begin with. This little devil is on all saws in the 550 and 562 families. The nipple on the carb is larger than the nipple on the primer, so in a pinch, you could turn the line around. This guy of course gets a new line. Just another thing to check when working on these things.
