Built an 064 for a buddy who is very particular about his saws. His name is Mike and he goes by @Edwad around these parts. He wanted an 064/066 hybrid, so that’s what he got.

There are still finishing touches that need to be made on it:

The clutch drum will be swapped out for OEM
The bar studs will be swapped out-they don’t allow new cover to seat
The plug wire insulation is frayed and in the wrong place

Mike the Glockman did the powdering.

We need more build threads here.

So here we go...

Found the correct gasket set, shelved the other.

Used the MattyO tool to assemble the case.

I like Dirko because it’s white and seals well. I don’t like that no matter how hard I try, the tube hardens and becomes unmanageable.

Assembled the short block. The 064 case takes M5 bolts unlike the 660 case which is M6.

Unlike an 044/6 hybrid, the holes in the jug bases don’t need to be slotted to fit, there is enough room for the M5 to fit right in place.
