You range now you know that the 064s are my favorite.Built an 064 for a buddy who is very particular about his saws. His name is Mike and he goes by @Edwad around these parts. He wanted an 064/066 hybrid, so that’s what he got.
There are still finishing touches that need to be made on it:
The clutch drum will be swapped out for OEM
The bar studs will be swapped out-they don’t allow new cover to seat
The plug wire insulation is frayed and in the wrong place
Mike the Glockman did the powdering.
We need more build threads here.

It did not.Did this get a piston from a 288?
Fired it a few times with fuel down the carb bore, just to get some rpms and make sure nothing fell apart. Checked piston after and buttoned muffler up.You get a chance to torch it off today?
Never saw a cheese grater muffler cover on an 064?Nice job. Pretty saw.
Different muffler in that glossy. Never saw that cover before.
I remember that bar.
Never saw a cheese grater muffler cover on an 064?
Pretty sure that they were the most common.
Um you need to sell at least one of yours first like to me.That is one beautiful saw!! I would very much like to own it lol
Less common 064 vs. 066
Hybrid coolness?
Case volume?
Cylinder availability?
Not sure why the owner and builder chose this route.
I think it’s pretty awesome when you can bump up the bore size and not be in aftermarket junk territory.
