Has any one ever tried to fit a 394 top end on 288 cases? I was eyeballing it and it would require quite a lot of work but now I’m kinda obsessing. Maybe some of the hybrid builders would be so kind as to weigh in @Chainsaw Jim @mdavlee @srcarr52

Yes sir it does. I’m subtly looking around for one to build after I get my 281 done. I think that would be a pretty badass trifecta

Sounds to me like the seller doesn’t know what it’s worth. I would insist that he/she set the starting price.

Makes sense, wouldn’t have to go through all the pain of getting the base to line up. Just have to eat the cost of replating. Thanks Mike

I've heard of it being done. I think you have to loose the cylinder extension into the case and let the piston come out of the bore at BDC, there isn't enough room on the gasket surface of the case to bore it for the extension.
