If this is a stupid question , my sorry . But , is the 7900 coil different than the 7910 coil ? Or, will it bolt right on ?

The early 7900 coil is RPM limited to 13,500. The 7910 coil is limited to 12,800.

I think your saw has the 13,500 coil on it already John.

They will either fit.
Yep, it's 13,5 k . Just lining up my ducks for when the after market ( non limited ? )coils are available .

Oh, I could make it work if I had to...
Truth is, the stock 13,500 coil runs so good on it with a half key advance, the only way I'd go back is with a true bolt in replacement right now.
And hopefully it has a built in advance like the stock coil. Then all would be proper.
If I still can't outrun wiggs' 372, we'll have no choice to go the 272 route..
In the meantime, I'll be filing a faster chain... :confused:
