I have a Makita 5000 and Dolmar 7900. Gonna be driving the Dolmar down to Mastermind for porting soon!

Thinking I wanna add a 3rd saw? Father in law has an MS250 and we got our old 026 but I gotta tear into runs but pretty sure it has an air leak.

Anyway since I mainly do firewood and storm clean up and have options in smaller saws, I’m thinking of adding another larger saw.

Maybe a clean ported 371/372 since I already have a 24” total bar for large Husky siting around.?

572XP? Or do you not want Autotune?
To be honest I don’t have any experience with Auto tune. I hear some who say the OG 372 is the one to get. Found a non strato on market place near me. Pretty much NIB and dude wants $1100 for it. I really wasn’t wanting to spend that much on one.

Maybe times have changed I got my 7900 for $750 a couple years ago.

I just started messing with saws a couple years ago. So I just looked for the models that everyone said were dead reliable. I just like running chainsaws from time to time. lol.

I had a Jred 2166. I ground the transfer ports on, muffle mod, etc. it was a good saw. Didn’t really love the handle angle for my build. A buddy needed a good firewood saw so I let him have it.

One can never have too many saws. But why another 70cc class saw when you have a 7900? I would rather have multiple 50cc saws than I would 70cc saws. I would add another 50cc, or a 60ish cc, or a 90+cc saw. With that said, a person could never go wrong with a ported 372,,,,ever.

There is a Snellerized jred 2252 in the FS section on here I have been kinda eyeing. Don’t know anything about those saws though.

Lots to unpack here. First if you want a nib 372 oe hit up @NightRogue I think he’s asking 800 shipped.

https://opeforum.com/threads/nib-no...-ms381-382-ms660-ms070-720-echo-cs1201.15008/

there is also a sweet stump shot ported 272 for sale in the classifieds as well:

Mike (the seller) and Steve are a little strange but good stand up honest men to deal with.

But I gotta agree with @Hinerman a 70cc saw will likely get passed over by your ported 7910. Go smaller or bigger.

Whatchu talkin' about strange Willis?

Someone is going to get one heck of a deal on that saw... 272's make excellent firewood saws, tough and super easy to maintain.

It's 'hit and miss' whether it would get here or not. I've heard horror stories about used saws being seized by customs.

Shipping would be plenty of $$$$$ too.

Now you've got me considering it!
You should consider it! Mike is an experienced saw sailer and ravisher of peanut butter, but I digress. I’m sure you could have the package insured in case it doesn’t make it.

Anything Stihl, Husqy, or Dolkita; can't go wrong with either. Echo also makes a good product.

Arguably, you already have the best 50cc in stock form. Ported 346s are tough to beat if you can find one. There are a lot of good options other than a 346, (Stihl 261, Husqy 550, Dolkita 5000, etc.). It is a good time to be a saw nut.

You may have the best 2-saw plan there is. Buy whatever you want and have fun.
