A couple of slabs I milled using a dolmar 144. 8 tooth 404 chisel chain, ground to 10°. Using a hard nose bar (didn't have chain tension right, hence the surface finish which is below my normal quality).
Not sure how well the phone camera will capture the figure in the grain.
This is West Australian sheoak, (figure is lace - quite rare). What I specialise in. 2 slabs are around 20 inches wide at most narrow point, by approx 7 foot long. Will be destined to become a 6 seat kitchen table. Piece on right will be high pressure washed, sandblasted and made into a free standing sculpture.
