Let me tell you about trees .I've got some some big ones .Of course there's little ones too all hardwoods .

In any given year the little ones have to grow to the sky if they plan on living any length of time .If they can't get the sun they die .Here's what happens ,if the weather is just right the 100 foot plus oaks put out a lot of leaves blocking the sun ,after a few years not only do the little trees die at 50 some feet the oaks atrophy the bottom limbs because they can't get any sun either .Funny how that works .

I've got 50 footers ,6-8 inches in diameter lying every where .So many that about every 4-5 years I can get the 4.5 cords I need if I burn from Nov to mid March to heat this house on less than 3 acres of woods .I find that amazing .
