Hello everyone, dont know if someone has already asked but, is it important how much clearance is between crankshaft counterweights and crankcase walls?
I meant, what would happen if i made crankcase walls thinner, thus increasing volume of crankcase.. (+ all other port works)
Would that cause anything unwanted?

I believe that would be taking things in the opposite direction of where you want to be.

I wouldn’t get the case too thin, if you keep about .020” clearance on the big end of the rod then you should end up with about .046” clearance on the weights

I was told to keep .04” on weights to minimize windage loss.

Any side by side with a 395xp piston?
Looking for a 12mm pin piston and a 661 is a 12mm.
A 395 piston and pin will fit in a 660 crank small end with a 395 pin bearing. That much I can tell you, I’ve done an 066 56mm big bore with a 395 slug. They are quite a bit heavier than an 066 slug though.

On the stroked 661, the 395 slug has to be shortened a bunch.....then can be put on a hell of a diet.
