661 Crankcase Repair

Can anyone answer with certainty whether the 661’s crankcase is magnesium or aluminum?

I need mine repaired/welded if possible.
A little over a year ago the corner of the case that the inside spike mounts to, broke off. I repaired it by adding a bolt through both felling spikes. While this works to hold the corner piece in place, and also stiffen things up, it’s rather annoying when it comes time to swap a chain. If I get a chance I’ll post some pictures later. Thanks!
