61 cover on 266xp cyl - heat and re-form plastic?

Grease for witness marks.
The cover just contacts the plug boot. Nothing to worry about?
Or could I heat the plastic and bulge it a bit?
I don’t suppose there are shorter plugs...
Might go so far as to change plug angle and depth in the cyl.

I’d run it. I believe the boot touches most of the bigger 3 series filter covers
