I remember getting theses measurements when I built the head. Just don't know what they are. Need to check again
I'd be curious to know if there is a difference between the stock cast piston and the forged one on the skirt clearance. Forged should be a little loser compared to the cast if I remember right.

These fancy blue ones are slightly looser in the bore
I believe thats why you see coatings on the skirts on them to help stop the scuffing on startup. I know the skiddo / rotax pistons have been like that for a long time.
Sleds are really easy to seize when you don't let them warm up good and just blast on them.

Sleds are really easy to seize when you don't let them warm up good and just blast on them.
I've changed about 7 pistons in my sled, never had a issue with cold seize or breaking in. I'd put em in and ride like normal


Which was rather fast. Lol

I did a 62mm cylinder this winter...ran strong first couple pulls then it went down...the plating chipped around the top of the cylinder...i figured the clearances for the head were too tight where it protruded into the cylinder....it did not have a oring seal...i have to send it out again
