I have a 572 that was ran over by tree service guys.so I thought this would be a good thread in case anyone wants to know how to break it down.pull cases together and so forth.alot might be surprised on tools to do it.I will up date more tomorrow as I go.

Are those factory crank stuffers?

Are those factory crank stuffers?
They are but they're different than the others on the three or five series. They don't just slip right on, and there are two nubs on the counterweights that fit through them. I tried to remove the FW side main for Brad like I usually do with a separator and arbor press. I couldn't get the separator to sit straight because of the nubs so it wouldn't press off like they usually do and I wasn't going to take a chance on a cheater bar with a $200 crank. He ended up using the puller in one of his first pics since the bearing sits on a pretty substantial snout on that side. I think he had resolved to having to cut the inner race but he got lucky and the whole thing came off by the outer race.
