Case splitter tool is used is part #502 52 49-01 I think it was about $42.00
It bolts to the side on the bar studs.flywheel side tool is not available yet for some reason.
So I took the flywheel side to work and pressed the crank out.

Another problem crank tool to pull the crank threw the cases is part #590 89 08-01 cost $110!!! I thought no way in hell was i paying that when all the other tools are 18.00 to 30.00 so I used the 365/372 crank tool.worked perfect on the clutch side! Flywheel side you have to flip the bushing over because it won't sit flat.worked great that way.

Curious to see what the carb looks like, if its the same as the 562 or bigger. I will wait and see until you get to that point in your build!

Its hard to find any info in terms of pictures of take downs of the 572 and 550 mk2. Thanks for posting this

Interesting, was the inside of the boot or the carb dirty? Wondering how the dirt got in, cause i know the air filter setups on these are really good.

or could it have been straight gassed for a short bit?
Cold seizure?

You can get green thin air conditioning o rings used in the automotive industry that will fit into the 562 filter. They fit in the recess for the collar on the air horn to make a good seal. Also RTVing the two halves of the filter will do well. Just in case you may not have known ;)

i forgot to take pic of the piston but i did clean it up and cleaned up the cylinder which was almost perfect.when ya slide this cylinder down make sure the plastic is set correct or it will not set down.tank is easy to put on.i think easier than a 372.
