Picked up a very used 572xp few weeks ago with great compression but the crank case has a cracked/broken spring vib-mount near the choke on the pull start side.

My question is how much is it needed in terms of long term use. Will the saw just tear up the other mounts form use? I hate to have to buy another case just for the mount.

I my try and weld it before buying a new one 🤷🏼‍♂️

Ya after taking it off the spring mount I could see it had been fully snapped for a while. There was no clean brake….all rubbed smooth. I assume it happen when the tank sight window got damaged/bad leak. Bought it this way so meh. $400 for a running 572xp & 562xp is a good deal IMO even with battle damage on one saw.

scarr52: ....It's a clean break... that could be welded back on pretty easily. I think I've welded at least one other 572 with similar damage.

Thats what im thinking too.

IMO Its a terribly weak "arm" for a major saw body mount.......make it thicker/stronger Husqvarna!
