I use Loctite 518, but I don't recommend it to others. Everything has to be extremely clean, and there is a cure time. The Yamabond, Hondabond, etc is easier to use.
i didnt dare assume a manufacturer would do something so sensible lol. They're the same on both sides.
Three bond will seal it with no O ring.

I have seen it done on 372 XT.Even with the recessed grove for the seal to sit in? There isn’t much flange material on the covers either, especially around the screw holes.
I’ve used Yamabond, Dirko, and 518 on cylinder bases, but they are a more solid metal to metal flange.
I wouldn't trust that in the long term.
Dirko.....maybe.
Dirko, threebond, hondabond, yamabond... I've heard it was all the same stuff until recently. I think hondabond cheeped out and went with something else.
The Dirko I use is really thick.....not at all like the others.

Interesting. Does it create little strings everywhere like ThreeBond?
I use victor reinz reinzoseal. It is +300 degreas celsius gasket maker without gasket. When it cures it is like glued toghether.
Sir no sir. None at all.
I unrolled the tube to read it.....I have Dirko HT.
