I do have a brass hammer
I can put it in a case half and it spends just as true I've sent the picture to several people and they all said it was wonky for what it's worth I don't know
So that's what GFY stands for... I never would have guessed in a million years!Good for you…. lol!
I would rather see it meant this way instead of the other for sure!So that's what GFY stands for... I never would have guessed in a million years!
What broke 17 cases?Im currently in the process of rebuilding 17 ms500i's, Many of them with broken cases, if i come up with an extra crank i will let you know
Not to hijack the thread but do you mean like from getting hit on stuff or just from running? I must say I'm impressed with my Masterminded 462 and a friend's stock 500i.Yea, im not impressed with the new stihls, especially the 462 and 500. The cases are so thin that they bust out easily
Just stuff like bouncing on a skidder floor, or in the back of the crummyNot to hijack the thread but do you mean like from getting hit on stuff or just from running? I must say I'm impressed with my Masterminded 462 and a friend's stock 500i.
Not all of them, so far 5What broke 17 cases?
Different places or weak link? Not all of them, so far 5
Being a good wheel chock was a badge of honorThe days when saws were hard enough to get run over by the skidder, dug up and put to use are over. Now folks are drawn to light weight with power. Going to be lots of busted saws.
Was this due to damage from external abuse or are they grenading?Im currently in the process of rebuilding 17 ms500i's, Many of them with broken cases, if i come up with an extra crank i will let you know
There is one on ebay that is complete with bearings, seals and crank installed for 499.99. My dealership wants $358. just for a crank, and the gasket kit with all seals is 43.00 and the 2 bearings are $53.00. Did not price cases but I would estimate $400.+What does Stihl charge for new cases?
Well all of them are broke on the clutch side if that says anything, under the clutch and just behind the lower inner dawg mountDifferent places or weak link?
