For what it’s worth, I own 3 562’s and only one 500.

I do have a brass hammer

I'd put it back together and give it a good whack on either end with a brass hammer. Reinstall the flywheel nut flush with the end of the threads before you whack the flywheel side and insert the eclip on the clutch side.

I can put it in a case half and it spends just as true I've sent the picture to several people and they all said it was wonky for what it's worth I don't know

Yea, im not impressed with the new stihls, especially the 462 and 500. The cases are so thin that they bust out easily

Not to hijack the thread but do you mean like from getting hit on stuff or just from running? I must say I'm impressed with my Masterminded 462 and a friend's stock 500i.

There is one on ebay that is complete with bearings,seals and crank installed for 499.99. My dealership wants $358. just for a crank,and the gasket kit with all seals is 43.00 and the 2 bearings are $53.00. Did not price cases but I would estimate $400.+

Well all of them are broke on the clutch side if that says anything, under the clutch and just behind the lower inner dawg mount

But the 462's are suffering from what seems vibration cracks, that start under the flywheel and radiate outwards towards the coil
