It's hard to tell when some bearings are failing.

Why not just split the case, rebuild the saw, stop guessing. Know it’s done right and run it. Now you own a great saw. That’s an easy saw to rebuild!

Goes in the 5 gallon bucket of old gas/diesel mix. Then use the air compressor.

I'm thinking if I'm going to box up a saw an send it for rebuild/porting it won't be this one I have a 400c w less than 10 tanks on it thought I would buy the 395 to tinker around on to get my feet wet.

Ordered a meteor piston an carb kit today. Shop had crank seals in stock picked up a drum an rim sprocket while I was there also. I don't think the previous owner cleaned it or maintained it much

It's definitely weird it kinda looks like a casting flaw. Plug seems fine going in. Doesn't feel like the threads are gonna let go

Went to the lil shop down the Rd for bearing an seals an got the last set of seals he had he said his son took the bearings to Tennessee to rebuild a 395. Said the guys name was randy I get snooping around an he has a whole pile of mmws's. Small world for sure.
