How do Stihl bars work on these Huskys with the adapter? Is it seamless? doable? Perfection?

I really don't want to buy new bars if I were to partake in another Husky experiment.

I grind the slot and open the adjuster hole so no need to lengthen the chain. 24", 32", and longer work fine. 28" is iffy with 91dl

Excellent advise, all my Stihl mount bars are extended slot.

Figure he should know before he got a surprise. That's why I sold all the Stihl light bars. To get it to fit the slot will be into the weld on the cut out

OK, one more question and I really should know the answer but I need some validation.

How would one of these hold up to light milling. I run a 32" bar on the mill and so far have milled around 3-4 16-24" logs per year. I only ask because on the other forum someone said they would not use a 385 for milling and suggested going to a 395. I don't remember if it was for light or full time milling.

I'm no milling expert by any stretch, I have done exactly zero milling. But I think the operative phrase there is "light milling". Just going on what I see others say, I wouldn't think light milling would be a major issue where heavier duty milling all but requires a 394/5 or bigger.

Other than my gut feeling on it, I would defer to the advice of hands more experienced in milling
