I have a pretty little 024 for sale. The saw was purchased from the original owner, who says he bought it in 1991 to clear a stand of aspens on his property. The starter cover says "Made in West Germany," but the serial number indicates that it is a Virginia Beach saw. The previous owner insisted that he purchased it that way from the dealer, whose sticker is on the top cover. My guess is that the dealer might have damaged the starter cover and replaced it with a NOS one before the saw was sold.

Interestingly, the saw has the plastic wood boss style clutch cover with the Wood Boss sticker. The original sticker was almost worn off, so I replaced it with a reproduction one.

I installed a new air filter and a carb kit on it, as the flocked filter was disintegrating and the carb diaphragms were stiff. I also replaced the clutch drum with a rim sprocket-style drum, and put an elastostart on it.

Due to its cleanliness for a saw of this age, and the fact that I have about $120 in new parts installed, I would like to get $350 plus shipping PHO for it. Feel free to ask questions, make offers, throw insults, etc. Can include exhaust pic if needed, but the piston is very clean and compression is very good.

I don't know if the above posts were mean to be slightly sarcastic or not, but I don't want to be the only one who doesn't know that my saw is overpriced if that is the case lol. Am I too far off here? I recently sold a metal tagged 026 for $300 that was not as nice as this saw. That, plus the money I have into it were the factors that I considered.

I was just screwing around becauseof your "throw insults" statement. It's yours, and it's your prerogative to price it as you see fit. I'd rather see someone put a high price, than to not put one at all and waste everyone's time.

Makes sense to me, I was actually referring to the post by @Wood Doctor about his 026

I really think that you are not overpriced. In the past I have been terribly underpriced. I cannot believe that three years ago I sold two 028 Supers for less that $250 each with sharp chains on board. Both ran flawlessly. At least I had enough sense to keep one for myself that I used last week.
