I’ve run a lot of 372s, both OE, XT and the old XPW top end that was 75 cc. The OE saws were by far and away my preference of the three, but the bigger top ends would sing if somebody knew how to adjust the porting. They are noticeably lighter than the XT saws.

But the 572XP is better. It’s smoother, makes better power and has a rear handle that’s actually been meant to fit a hand, unlike the 372 which was apparently designed for a gorilla’s paws. The only, and I mean only, thing I don’t like is the one piece top cover.
Who was your preferred "adjuster" for the 51.4mm top ends?

I did the one I had, it would run a little faster than my stock 046. Nothing crazy, just wanted it to run the way it should. Tree Sliing’r built the best running one I ever saw or ran, they outcut his MS 460s.

I'm kind of here as well. I've got work saws that get ran daily and weekly and shelf saws that get ran very seldom.

The 572 is a regular use saw for me, but I do have to tighten up my harness when I climb with it. It's a tad on the heavy side. :D

After picking up a 545, I’m looking into a 70cc saw for running a longer bar. Would prefer to stick with Husqvarna, mostly because of local dealers. Looks like a 572, 372 XTorq, or even a 372 OE from a supposedly reputable guy in Asia could all be had for close enough to the same price. Any recommendations on which way to go?

Pros of the 372 mostly seem to be slightly lighter weight and maybe more parts availability, while the 572 looks to be built a little more stout with a touch more power? Anything else I’m missing here?

And just a thought, could a 562 effectively live its life with a 24” bar for the occasional 3-4’ tree that needs cleaned up? Would be cheaper and lighter than either 70cc option...
Good choices here. Depends on what you like. If you enjoy wrenching on motors, the 372 is a great platform; less expensive, easy to work on and lots of parts available. Not to mention that it's a legendary saw. If you like the latest technology with a good measure of torque, the 572 or 565, would be just the ticket. Don't expect a 60cc saw to be happy with a 3-4' tree.
