359 Husky I got today ~~

I scored on a 359 today.

No cover on the top and no brake cover but the lever is there. No muffler but the carb and the back end is all there.
Piston has some scratches on it as seen from the hot port side.
All in all I think it's a good deal for free ~!~!

Can't turn down that price! First thing to do, if it has the plastic clamp on the intake, swap in the metal one. Someone gave me a free 359 where the plastic clamp had made it not so "free".

Quick note on your brake cover, (and for anyone who isn't aware), but the 357/359 shares the brake cover with the 346/350 chassis. Just mentioning it to make your search a little easier.

There was a 357 for $100 on my local CL. By the time the guy answered it was gone.

That's the first thing I looked at. It is steel !! I have to do a top end on it anyway. So a plastic wouldn't have been a issue.

Husky 455 works too gives bar adj in cover. All you have to do is remove old adjuster makes sweet for adj chain. Did my 357's & 359's and my 346XPNE. Guy had a bunch of 455 covers on Ebay under $28.00 New OEM. They disappeared in 2 days.

Don't know yet which one. Gonna be a work saw for about 3 weeks out of the year. Or a saw to sell. A friend offered me 150 like it is . He knows I need the money to stock up my shop for the busy season. I work on mowers also.
