I hope someone can help me with this. I bought a trashed 357xp with a broken crankshaft.

I bought a used crankshaft on online and put it in. Fits perfectly until I went to put the

old piston back on. It seems that the little end of the new crank is 2 mm wider than the old one

and the piston bosses are not wide enough. Did husqvarna change cranks? The IPL is not clear or I am

not bright enough to read it. Help please!

yes. older ones were 13mm newer after serial #020700001 were 15mm. either need a new piston or you could try to open up the old piston to fit the rod

That is an interesting thought. Do you think it would be strong enough?

As earlier stated there was two different crank to 357, and it looks like you had the old one.

I would bought meteor piston. If you got the needle bearing with the 15mm crank you dont need to buy new needle bearing, if not I would also bought the bearing.

While you are there, incase you have the old plastic clamp intake I would get the metal clamp, there is two type of those as well, 537 43 88 01 is the normal clamp we use, while metal clamp 505 28 33 02 has a screw to tight the clamp, the last one is the one I would bought myself.

You was unlucky, on the other side you got a stronger crank.
