I was wanting to get into square grinding. And talked to a few people that were like me. Just as opposed with square grinding as me. Learned a lot about it, but still had no grinder, I was getting obsessed with it. I needed a grinder

I wanted a pro sharp. Bad, I mean bad. I searched and searched. I was taking to a guy named Dallas, tell you about this great man, I mean great man in a little bit.

I was on my way to a friends house in hickory N,C. Chris Haas. Another true friend. On the way there.... what do you know. Found it.. A ziegelmeyer square grinder. In Washington state. I called. He still had it. My heart was pumping... We talked about it on the way to Hickory. He was a guy that flew into camps and sharpened chain. That's all he did.

We talked and talked, he told me how they started useing the silvey pro sharp. And the ziggy was no longer used. However, he was now retired but kept the ziggy. Such a nice guy to talk to. Y'all just don't know how nervous I was. Then the bomb shell,,,, He will not ship it. At all..

So I'm thinking, what to do. You guys know what it's like to get obsessed with something.. So I called Dallas. And told him what I found.. I never met Dallas in my life, and still haven't.

He knows how bad I want this machine.. And he tells me, that he will make the drive to get it. But will the gentleman hold it for me.. it's a 6 1/2 hour drive for Dallas to the machine

So I'm calling and talking to the guy with the ziggy... I tell him I have a guy that will be there that weekend... He ask, is he coming to look at it? Or buy it.... I'm like, to buy.. please please please hold it

I'm at Chris's with his kids and wife.. And the whole time I'm there, I'm outside on the phone because of cell service

So, I gotta call this guy and beg, and bed I did. He knew how serious I was. And finally agreed to hold it till Dallas showed. On the day we agreed.

So while talking to him, I just happen to ask. Do you happen to have a raker grinder. Hell, before talking to Dallas, I didn't even know that existed. He said, yes I do. But I'll have to have more for it then he wanted for the square grinder.
